Living lobby in Tertium

Tertium has refreshed the lobby area. The design by award-winning architect Maciej Warot is no ordinary reception area.

The main assumptions for starting work on the design of the lobby were the desire to create a warm, friendly, even homely entrance space, capable of being both a place for work, meetings and relaxation for employees. The non-obviousness and interpenetration of the target functions made it possible to create a place full of energy for the people using it.

The interior of the lobby interacts with the user through a well-chosen mix of textures, planes, colors, materials and greens. A subdued and warm color palette of wood and stone was opted for, here and there broken by the vibrant color of the furniture. The rounded shapes of the office furnishings, as well as a large amount of upholstery, gave the interior a delicate and soft feel. The wall behind the reception counter received original tectonics and lighting elements. Complementing the composition with details, monochromatic elements of floor or wall coverings filled the base of the space. All these elements create at the same time an information zone, a rest area, a meeting area and a work area.

Simplicity and functionality were paramount in this project. The former was achieved by using natural materials and geometrically simple forms. Functionality, on the other hand, manifests itself in the preservation of a place for communication while implementing spots for work, meetings, leisure or providing visual information, says the architect responsible for the project, Maciej Warot, who has won many awards, including Archi-World Academy Awards.
